Traveling with Tiffany

Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Italy, Amsterdam & Gibraltar!

15 dias

it has been since I have been back in the U.S.A. The first 5 days were fun and then I started to miss Spain a little more each day after. I wish I was still there. I mean I loved being home with my family for Christmas and everything and I have a lot to look forward to this upcoming semester, it’s just nothing in my life compares to the past 4 months. It was so incredibly amazing.  I’ve have been working on my scrapbook, so far I’ve got 10 pages and it’s turning out quite nice. I think there will be 25 pages by the time I’m done, so I’m almost halfway there! :)

Well, adios tumblr. I’ll post every now and then probably about how much I miss Spain, and then of course when I go traveling again! I’ll post some pictures of my scrapbook when I’m finished and see how everyone likes it.

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I will never forget my experience this past semester in Spain and all the new friends I made. This incredible journey helped me grow as a person and made me a lot more independent. I can’t wait to travel again and experience other hispanic cultures! :)

Granada, España— mi ciudad.

Espana con mi madre

It’s always an adventure with my mami. She arrived in Granada after traveling for over 12 hours exhausted and frustrated with how rude the Spaniards were, and then helped me pack all my stuff at Mery’s (my host mom)! Our hotel, Palacio Santa Paula used to be a convent for nun’s in the 16th century, and it was located right off Gran Via (city center)! We shopped, saw the Cathedral, ate tapas (& ate at kebab king), saw a flamenco show, visited the Alhambra, met my program directors, and had dinner at Mery’s. I went paragliding (parapente en español) again too and said hasta luego to la mayoria de mis amgios. Os echaré de menos mucho!! Ahora, estamos en Madrid. Hoy/este semana es fiesta! It’s kind of like a Christmas festival for them, but it was like New York City x 10. Body to body, not being able to move en las calles. Pues, sorry for all this spanglish. My mom and I went to this cute little restaurant tonight and the bartender/waiters loved us and gave us a free round of drinks! Que raro por los españoles. Jaja. Tomorrow we’re going to Parque Retiro and then to some museums. Then only 3 days till I return to the good ol’ U.S.A! This is a picture of our hotel in Granada:

Homemade pizza with my host mom, Mery! It came out absolutely delicious! We made 3 :). I’m definitely going to try and do this again once I get back to the states, which is in 10 days!

I must be traveling on now, ‘cause there’s too many places I’ve got to see.I’m as free as a bird now, and this bird you cannot change. -Lynyrd Skynyrd
